The nets have been taken down on the tennis courts for the season. We wanted to inform you of the improvements we are making to the courts come Spring 2020.

• Purchase and install new windscreens.

• Powerwash both courts.

• Trim trees around the courts to avoid sap on the courts.

• Install new lighting system.

• Add lines for a 2nd pickleball court.

• New signs.

• Fix fence that is leaning.

During the spring of 2019, buckthorn was taken out along Old Barrington Road. The Park District donated $2,000 to the Village towards it's Healthy Hedges project. The plantings were completed in early October and Bluestem Ecological Services will provide stewardship services for the next three years to allow the plantings to become established and thrive!

At its September 17 meeting, the Board reviewed and had a public comment period for the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year from May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020. After the public comment was heard, the Board voted to approve the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance. A copy of said ordinance was received by Lake County on October 24.
